Our Story
- 1983
- Co-operative Advisory Group (COAG) is founded as a co-operative, to provide advice to other co-operatives
- 1989
- Our name is changed to ‘CAG Management Consultants’ (and subsequently CAG Consultants) to reflect the wider range of consultancy work being undertaken, on economic development, regeneration and social issues
- Early 1990s
- CAG Consultants is based in North London, with homeworking consultants based in Manchester and Sheffield
- Mid 1990s
- We move into environmental and sustainability, playing a leading role advising local authorities on Environmental Management and Local Agenda 21
- 1998
- CAG pioneers virtual working, with all consultants working from home remotely across the UK
- 2000s
- We undertake leading work on climate change, planning, stakeholder engagement, regeneration and evaluation
- 2012
- CAG Consultants becomes a Limited Liability Partnership, giving us more flexibility to take on new consultants, while retaining our cooperative structure
- 2017
- We continue to offer bespoke consultancy on evaluation, economic development, planning, sustainability and community cohesion issues
