Analysis and Forecasting

Good local economic analysis uses data rather than presents it.

We use our skills to understand how a local economy works, what are its assets, how it functions in relation to neighbouring areas and where its current trajectory is taking it.

Typical work we undertake includes:

  • Local Economic Assessments
  • Analysis and forecasts to inform Employment Land Reviews
  • Baseline analysis to inform Economic Impact Assessments

We also undertake a range of forecasting work. Recent examples have included:

  • Forecasts of future office floorspace demand in London to inform the London Plan
  • Forecasts of the future demand for industrial land in London
  • Small area population and employment forecasts for Transport for London
