CAG Consultants are pleased to announce that Alison Cavey has recently joined them as a Partner, bringing new skills and expertise to their experienced team of professionals.

Previously a founding Director at Orion Innovations which she successfully ran for 14 years, Alison is an experienced and pragmatic strategy consultant, with an international track record of success in the commercialisation of innovation and new venture development in the Cleantech sector. She has variously acted as Interim MD, Outcome Manager, mentor and consultant to more than 100 academic teams, start-ups and SMEs, and provided advisory services to more than 30 regional, national and international agencies.

Alison has joined CAG to allow her to focus on what she does best, working directly with client teams in the delivery of high impact projects. Alison is passionate about innovation, and believes there is significant untapped potential for consulting support in the Cleantech sector which she hopes to exploit alongside her new Partners at CAG.

Innovation (technical and service) is a critical enabler for addressing environmental challenges and realising improvement. The market place is currently highly dynamic and becoming increasingly more sophisticated, and cross cutting, e.g. ranging from the development of new hardware, software, and sensors, to the evolution of Big Data and Industry 4.0. New tools for decision making and informing policy are coming to the fore. However, there remains a need to address the common ground between innovation, and the practicalities of real world implementation and realising the associated economic benefits.
