Communities & Placemaking
Having been involved in the original work advocating sustainable development in the UK, we feel strongly that it is important to take care of the human dimension when addressing environmental or economic challenges.
place making
We provide independent, specialist engagement services to support the design of public spaces.
Placemaking is a multi-faceted approach to the planning, design and management of places, which capitalises on a local community’s assets, needs, inspiration and potential, with the intention of creating places that promote people’s health, happiness and well-being. This could be at a whole settlement or local project level.
We co-ordinate and facilitate this process, working with the community, local authorities, public, private and voluntary sector organisations and master planners/designers to create places that meet the needs and aspirations of the community and are deliverable.
We can work independently for the client or in partnership with one of our longstanding trusted master planning or architect partners.
Our offer includes:
- Design and delivery of whole place approaches to sustainable urban or rural development
