Research and evaluation
We are leaders in policy and programme evaluation design and delivery and have carried out a number of evaluations relating to nature and biodiversity, including process and impact evaluations.
We have also set up Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks for a number of programmes. We can help you understand how your projects, programmes and policies are performing and what impacts they are having.
We also carry out wider research designed to inform policy or programme development.
Current and recent projects include:
- Nature Positive Portsmouth – evaluation of this multi-partner programme which is funded under the Nature Towns and Cities initiative
- Investigating the environmental impact of the National Lottery Community Fund’s grantmaking
- Evaluation of the Land Use Pilots for the Scottish Government
Other case studies of our work include:
- Review of council approaches to sustainability, including the natural environment, for West Sussex Council
- Evaluation of Upland Ecosystem Services Pilot Project – for Natural England
Stakeholder engagement
We offer a range of consultation services to organisations in relation to biodiversity and the natural environment including design and delivery of stakeholder engagement plans.
Current and recent projects include:
- Stakeholder engagement on the London Green Infrastructure Framework, for the GLA
- Stakeholder engagement on the reintroduction of beavers, for the South Downs National Park
