CAG Consultants are thrilled to be working with Aether to define and plan Conwy County Borough Council’s route to Carbon Net Zero. Conwy County Borough Council have, along with many other local authorities across the UK, recently declared a climate emergency, and are now developing their plan to address the emergency, with an ambitious target of Carbon Net Zero by 2030.

Targets of carbon neutrality in response to declarations of climate emergencies are an emerging concept and therefore are not, at present, well-defined processes or definitions. As such, we will be drawing on the expertise of our teams and innovative modelling to develop the most practical and effective approach for Conwy County Borough Council. This will include developing a High Level Strategic Roadmap, which will outline the issues that need to be considered and will be refined throughout the project; and utilising a carbon scenario modelling tool to enable us to identify potential routes to carbon neutrality. We will work closely with the Council to define and choose the most effective and feasible route for them to reach Carbon Net Zero by 2030.
